Unveiled in Europe late last year and spied testing in Mumbai recently, the new 2015 Audi A6 Facelift is slated for launch in India by August 2015. It will receive a host of updates, both on the inside and outside, making it better equipped to rival the likes of Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series and Jaguar XF.
2015 Audi A6 Facelift gets new headlamps with twin lined fibre optic LED strips. In a better exterior design as compared to its earlier counterpart, exterior updates include adaptive LED headlights, a new front grille and a set of new tail lamps.
Interiors continue with the same layout, except for the inclusion of Audi’s multimedia interface. Top of the line Audi A6 will get a new navigation system with power retractable 8” monitor which is based on a new technology platform using fast Tegra 30 graphic chip from Nvidia.
Audi A6 facelift is being offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. Three TFSI engines and five TDI engines will be on offer each of which complies with Euro 6 emission standards. The engines will be mated to dual clutch automatic 7 speed gearbox while Audi A6 will also receive the all wheel drive Quattro drivetrain.
In India, all these engine options will not be offered. Expect the same options, which are on offer with current A6 – 2.0 TDI inline 4 with multitronic FWD and 3.0 TDI V6 with S tronic AWD system. Price range is expected to start in the range of Rs 50 lakhs.
