Audi India’s racing talent, Aditya Patel was also present at the Audi TT launch in Delhi today.

2015 Audi TT sports coupe already on sale in Europe and US. Today, it is official launched in India at a price of Rs 60.34 lakhs (ex-showroom). Based on Volkswagen’s MQB platform, 2015 TT Coupe is third iteration of the sports car, which was first launched in 1998.

Compared to old Audi TT, this one is lighter by 50 kgs, and also stronger by 23%. This has been made possible due to the use of Audi Space Frame technology. Being offered in India in only one variant, 2015 Audi TT 45 TFSI Quattro S Tronic is shipped into the country from Audi Hungary plant as a CBU unit.

To rival Mercedes Benz SLK, BMW Z4 and Porsche Boxster, new TT is powered by a 2.0 liter TFSI engine offering 230 PS power and 370 Nm torque. Transmission is taken care by a 6 speed Stronic automatic gearbox sending power to all four wheels through Quattro technology. Acceleration from 0-100 kmph is achieved in 5.3 seconds while top speed is pegged at 250 kmph. No diesel engine is on offer.

New Audi TT side profile

Aluminum pedals, LED head and tail lamps, full LED instrument cluster and sporty seats will add to the sportiness of 2015 Audi TT. Other premium features include new multifunction flat bottom steering wheel, paddle shifters and steering mounted controls. 5 circular AC vents will be seen in its interiors while infotainment features will include a 12.3” digital Nvidia Tegra 30 GPU powered instrument cluster, Bang and Olufsen 12 speaker system and 14 channel amplifies with 2 woofers.
