2015 Ford Endeavour engine specs leaked, India launch this year

2015 Ford Everest made a grand public appearance last year but remained coy about technical specifications and features. But the details have slipped and surfaced online.

The Toyota Fortuner competitor measures 4,882 mm x 1,862 mm x 1,836 mm (Length x Width x Height) while wheelbase measures 2,850 mm and ground clearance measures 225 mm. Minimum kerb weight of 2015 Endeavour is 2,357 kgs.

Engine options in new Ford Everest to include one petrol motor and two diesel mills. Includes 2.0 litre Twin-Scroll EcoBoost petrol engine dishing out 234 bhp max power and 360 Nm peak torque, 2.2 litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engine churning out 147 bhp max power and 385 Nm peak torque, and 3.2 litre 5-cylinder Duratorq diesel power plant generating 197 bhp max power and 470 Nm peak torque.

Transmission options will include 6-speed manual and automatic setups, manipulating rotation to rear wheels or all four wheels. Different combinations of gearbox and drive configuration will be assigned to each destined market. In India, 2015 Ford Endeavour will be offered only with diesel engines, with manual and auto transmissions. India launch is expected in late 2015, to rival Toyota Fortuner, SsangYong Rexton, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and the like.
