2015 Hyundai Elantra is being offered in two engine options and four trim levels all of which are priced between INR 14.13 lakh and INR 17.94 lakh.
While a host of design changes are seen on the new Elantra, no changes in mechanics are noted as the petrol variants are powered by a 1.8 liter Dual VTVT petrol engine offering 147 bhp peak power and 178 Nm peak torque. The diesel engine is a 1.6 liter VGT CRDi unit offering 126 bhp power and 260 Nm torque. Both engines are mated to 6 speed manual or 6 speed automatic gearbox options.
2015 Hyundai Elantra base trim variant is priced at INR 14.58 lakhs and is offered only in a diesel options and receives 16” alloy wheels, projector headlamps, daytime running lamps and disc brakes. Interiors are seen exclusively in black with leather wrapped steering, gear knobs and chrome door handles. Infotainment is in the form of Bluetooth, AUX and USB connectivity while steering mounted controls, remote locking facilities, tinted glass and electrically adjustable wing mirrors form its other features. Safety features are outstanding on the updated Elantra which include a total of 6 air bags, vehicle stability management, ABS with EBD, hill assist control, electro chromic mirror and rear view camera besides others.
Inside the new Hyundai ElantraElantra S petrol and diesel variants are priced at INR 14.13 lakhs and INR 15.35 lakhs respectively and gets all the features seen on the base variant with the addition of keyless entry, rear parking camera and display on rear view mirror along with electric folding wing mirror and luggage storage facilities.
Hyundai Elantra SX petrol variant is priced at INR 15.41 lakhs while its diesel counterpart has a price tag of INR 16.68 lakhs. These two variants receive leather upholstery and ventilated front seats in additions to all the features on board the Elantra S. Also seen are 10 way adjustable powered driver seat, a 4.3” touchscreen audio system, cruise control and parking camera display on driver seat back. Safety features include automatic headlamps, side and curtain airbags, ESP and speed sensing door locks.
Hyundai Elantra SX (AT) petrol is priced at INR 16.50 lakhs and the diesel variant is priced at INR 17.94 lakhs. All the features from the other trims are seen on board these two trims while this is the only trim that gets an automatic gearbox along with hill start assist control.
