Anil Kapoor at 2015 International Bicycle and Fitness Expo

2015 International Bicycle and Fitness Expo activities were kickstarted in Hotel Park Plaza, Ludhiana at the end of 2014. The meeting was chaired by Anil Khurana, Mg Director, Ada Expo and Events Pvt Ltd; S K Rai, Managing Director Hero Cycles Ltd; Onkar Singh Pahwa, Chairman and Mg Director Avon Cycles Ltd; Charanjit Singh, President United Cycle Parts Manufacturers Association; Satish Dhanda, Vice Chairman Punjab Medium Scale Board; G D Kapoor, Executive Director Hero Cycles; Gurmeet Kular, President FICO; Rajiv Jain, Secretary UCPMA; Umesh Narang, President G – 13 Association of Cycle Manufacturers; S S Bhogal; Rahul Gupta, Country Head Tata International; Manjinder Singh, President Bicycle Research and Development Organisation (BRADO); Avtar Singh Bhogal and Ashok Bawa, General Manager Hero Cycles were in attendance.

2015 International Bicycle and Fitness Expo looks to bring the Indian bicycle industry to an international platform. The Expo organises a cyclothon and cycle rallies with participation from schools and colleges in Delhi. Reps from the bicycle industry abroad are attending. 2015 International Bicycle and Fitness Expo is hosting seminars, and cycle stunts are being performed.

The three day bicycle, e-bike and fitness equipment trade and industry fair was inaugurated today by Vijay Sampla (Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment), Guest of Honour, Anil Kapoor (Actor and Producer), and Pankaj Munjal, Owner, Hero Cycles Limited. At 2015 IBFE inauguration, Anil Kapoor spoke of his love for cycling. He believes it is the best way to stay fit. Pankaj Munjal said the aim of International Bicycle and Fitness Expo is to increase the number of bicycle users, to promote healthy living.

Avon Cycle’s engaged with customers through a ‘My Pic My Cycle’ contest online. Delhi winners are welcomed to the Avon Cycles stall on Friday, 30th January. As Indian urban cities strive to make space for all road occupants, dedicated groups are organising city cycling events on weekends to reclaim their bit of the road for a few hours. International Bicycle and Fitness Expo is organised by Ada Expo and Events Pvt Ltd (Hero Cycles Ltd and Wheel Publications & Expositions Pvt Ltd). Atlas Cycles, TI Cycles, Hero Ecotech and Fire Fox Bikes too are exhibiting.
