2015 Life World Run with ambassador Ayushmann Khurrana
2nd edition of Wings For Life World Run is scheduled for May 3, 2015. Local ambassadors Maj. DP Singh, CS Santosh, Tania Sachdev and Param Vir Rathee, President, Haryana Olympic Association accompanied Ayushmann. 2015 Life World Run is being held simultaneously across 6 continents and 35 countries wherein catcher cars determine when it’s race over for each participant.
In India, 2015 Life World Run kicks off at 4:30 pm from Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Gurgaon. Government of Haryana and Haryana Olympics Association have lent their support. Ayushmann says Wings for Life World Run is unique. Participating in the world run is a great opportunity to come together in running for those who can’t. He looks forward to running.
CS Santosh is honoured to be a part of the amazing initiative. As an athlete, he can’t imagine not being able to move because of an injury. Having dealt with challenges myself, he looks forward to facing this new endurance format.
Chess player Tania Sachdev says Wings for Life World Run is an exceptional sports event, which is also a tough challenge. She’s glad to be a part of a global effort for spinal cord research.
Major DP Singh has been through tough, trying times in life and was almost declared dead. Research that Wings for Life does for spinal cord injury is impressive and brings hope to people. He supports the work that Wings For Life is doing. He encouraged folks to offer support by participating.
2015 Life World Run will see participation from professional athletes, amateurs, medal-winning Olympians, charity ambassadors, and others. Expected to last for six hours, Daniel Ricciardo, David Coulthard, and other event ambassadors will run for those who cannot at other locations.
