13th May 2015: To feature various external and internal updates, 2015 Mahindra XUV500 facelift will be seen with a distinctive chrome grille, ‘S’ shaped LED daytime running lights, a new front bumper design and a new headlight cluster.
Sitting on new 10 spoke alloy wheels, the XUV500 facelift also receives a new rear door and chrome accents around registration plate. Interiors will boast of a few design changes as well with a new colour scheme giving interiors a more premium appearance.
2015 Mahindra XUV500 facelift will however continue to be powered by the same engine. This is a 2.2 liter, 4 cylinder mHawk diesel engine offering 140 bhp power at 3,750 rpm and 330 Nm torque at 1,600-2,800 rpm mated to a 6 speed manual transmission with 2WD and 4WD. Fuel efficiency stands at 15.1 kmpl. It is also estimated that Mahindra is working on a new automatic transmission which will be making its way on the XUV500 facelift sometime in the future.
Mahindra XUV500 facelift will compete against Renault Duster, Tata Safari Strome, and Nissan Terrano on launch in India on 25th May, while prices are estimated to be between INR 11-16 lakhs.
