Mahindra & Mahindra, leading utility vehicle manufacturers have officially launched the new 2015 XUV500 Facelift today.
Offered with restyled exteriors and updated interiors, the new XUV500 now comes with S shaped LED daytime running lights, a chrome grille and new fog light designs, the model also sports a wider air dam and new headlamp clusters.
Exteriors boast of 10 spoke alloy wheels, chrome garnish on registration plate and new bumper design. Interiors receive new instrument cluster and central console and while it sports similar interiors to the current model, however, a new color scheme in Plum shade on seats and beige plastic inserts is added.
Mahindra 2015 XUV500 Facelift is powered with a 2.2 liter turbocharged four cylinder diesel engine offering 140 bhp power at 3,750 rpm and 330 Nm torque at 1,600-2,800 rpm mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox. No automatic transmission option is on offer. Automatic variant of the XUV500 could launch during the upcoming festive season.
The only change made to the engine is that it is more efficient than before. As compared to the the 15.1 kmpl mileage figure, this one delivers 16 kmpl.
A total of six variants are on offer, of which two are AWD and four are FWD. Colour options are – Dolphin Grey, Tuscan Red, Mondust Silver, Opulent Purple, Volcano Black, (the same five as before), and two new options – Sunset Orange and Pearl White.
