New spyshots of 2015 Mahindra XUV500 facelift have surfaced online, featuring the new highlights incorporated in the model year update.2015 XUV500 receives conspicuously reworked front fascia, which adds a paint bucket load of chrome. New thick L-shaped fog lamp surrounds beneath the redesigned headlamps is the most eye-catching feature in the mid-life refresh, next is the re-detailed front grille which carries slight resemblance with 2014 Mahindra Scorpio. Head lights carry new features, among which is an S shaped trim that runs between the regular halogen and projector beam headlamps. This could be the LED DRL similar to Scorpio’s LED eyebrow feature.
Other notable enhancements in 2015 Mahindra XUV500 include new multi-spoke alloy wheel design, new chrome slat above the number plate recess and new purple body colour possibly among a few more. Complimenting which, interiors of the new model receive beige seat upholstery and minor updates of accents in the cabin.
The company’s flagship SUV is expected to retain the well performing 2.2 litre 4-cylinder diesel engine with no noteworthy changes. Down the line, the same motor is expected to be offered with an automatic transmission. A hybrid XUV500 is also on the anvil.
