Maruti Ertiga Facelift Indonesia Launch

India launch is in October 2015, with petrol and diesel engine option.

First launched in India back in April 2012, Suzuki Ertiga is a seven seater MPV based on the Swift platform. At the 2015 Indonesia Motor Show today, Suzuki unveiled the Ertiga facelift. Tagged as LUV – Life Utility Vehicle, the updated Ertiga gets a series of new cosmetic changes, but engine options remain unchanged.

Offered in three variants – GA, GL and GX, power to the new Suzuki Ertiga facelift comes via 1.4l K Series petrol engine (K14B) generating maximum power of 92 PS power and 130 Nm torque. This means, Ertiga facelift’s petrol engine is detuned to deliver less power and more fuel efficiency. Transmission option on offer is a 5 speed manual gearbox or a 4 speed automatic option.

Visually, the Ertiga facelift gets a new bolder grille with a larger Suzuki logo sitting in between the three chrome slats. Compared to the older Ertiga, the facelift gets revised air dam and fog lamp enclosures (which also gets a chrome lip on the top). The headlight cluster and bonnet remains unchanged. It gets new 10 spoke 15 inch alloys.

The rear of Ertiga facelift now features new reflector elements which acts as extensions to the taillight cluster. Sitting above the license plate is a thick chrome slat, on which the word ‘ERTIGA’ is embossed. In current Ertiga, the same is embossed on the lower left side of the tailgate, where now only the variant name is seen. The rear bumper too is revised, but misses out on the centre foglamp.
