Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a popular sedan that contributes positively to the luxury auto manufacturer’s growing sales volume in India. Back in November, Mercedes Benz India stopped C Class W204 model from Chakan plant. In the meantime, C-Class buyers have turned to the more expensive CBU variant. 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class diesel launch this month should kickstart CKD production. If not, it will be introduced as a CBU, with local assembly to follow soon.
This is the second car launch from Mercedes-Benz India this year, having first introduced CLA-Class on 22nd January. At the time, the luxury carmaker also announced a price hike of up to 4 pct across its product portfolio. With CLA-Class available in petrol and diesel, Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W205) is no longer an entry level sedan for the luxury auto manufacturer.
2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class diesel is being launchd on February 11. 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C220 CDI is powered by a 2.2 litre four cylinder engine for max power of 170PS, and max torque of 400Nm. Mated to a 7-speed automatic gearbox, the new C-Class exudes even more luxury than its predecessor with its striking sporty design, unparalleled luxurious interiors, and technological innovations.
