Range Rover Sport SVR 2015 model is unveiled, set to make global debut at Pebble Beach on 14 August 2014. This is by far the fastest and most powerful Land Rover model produced, and is the first to sport SVR badge reserved of future Jaguar & Land Rover high performance cars.

Range Rover Sport SVR-011 front5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine on range topping SVR produces 550 PS max. power and 680 Nm peak torque; which is 40 PS and 56 Nm bump without giving up on fuel efficiency. Engine is mated to advanced ZF 8HP70 8-speed automatic transmission, sending power to all four wheels all the time. Drivetrain has two-speed transfer case; low-range option for demanding terrain, and 50:50 torque split front-to-rear mode. Chassis is optimised for what the powertrain can take it through. It has towing capability of 3,000 kg.

Acceleration of Range Rover Sport SVR from 0 – 100 kmph is 4.5 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 260 kmph. It holds Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time of 8 minutes 14 seconds, which is one of the fastest times recorded by a production SUV.

This optimises aesthetics, sound quality and performance, providing a racecar-inspired soundtrack specifically at high engine revs, without critically affecting refinement during steady-state driving. This is a first for Range Rover.

2016 Sport SVR has the option of receiving 22-inch alloy wheels with performance-optimised 295/40 R22 Continental SportContact 5 tyres. New 21-inch alloy wheels with 275/45 R21 all-season tyres come as standard.

All-aluminium monocoque of Range Rover Sport SVR is a first in segment feature, which reduces weight by 39% compared with its predecessor. Upgraded air suspension system automatically changes between two ride heights. Next generation Terrain Response 2 system in Range Rover Sport SVR automatically selects most suitable terrain programme.
