Unveiled at the hands of Salman Khan, Suzuki Motorcycle India’s brand ambassador, the Gixxer is the company’s flagship local product. Launched in 2014, Gixxer has managed to create a new following for itself in the biking community here in India.
Speaking about the new dual tone colour options, these come at a price of Rs 85,729, on-road, New Delhi. As compared to this, the single tone colour variants are priced from Rs 84,634, on-road, New Delhi.
Looking more attractive in dual tone format, 2015 Suzuki Gixxer is now available in six colours – four single tone, and two dual tones. The four single tone colours are Metallic Triton Blue (YSF), Metallic Oort Grey (YHG), Glass Sparkle Black (YVB), and Candy Antares Red (19A). The two dual tone colour options are – Metallic Triton Blue with Pearl Mirage White (BAQ) and Candy Antares Red with Glass Sparkle Black (APS).
Powered by a 4-stroke, 1-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC, 2 Valve engine, which generates maximum power of 14.8 PS @ 8000 rpm and peak torque of 14 Nm @ 6000 rpm. Mated to a five speed gearbox, and featuring Carburetor fuel system, Gixxer top speed is above 120 kmph.
Features on offer with new Suzuki Gixxer includes 7 step adjustable rear monoshock suspension, LED taillights, Suzuki Eco Performance engine which claims mileage of 63.1 kmpl, digital instrument console which displays speed, fuel level, engine temperature, engine rpm, trip, and gear position.
Also being exported to markets abroad, including Japan, Gixxer competes with the likes of Yamaha, FZ-S FI, Honda Unicorn 160 and Bajaj Pulsar 150 AS.
