2015 Tata Nano Twist Active lined up at Sanand plant, ready for dispatch

A large inventory of Tata Nano Twist Active has been spotted at the company stockyard in Sanand, Gujarat indicating impending launch.

Spied on a number of occasions under wraps on public roads, previewed at Auto Expo 2014, launch of the Tata Nano Twist Active could be sooner than predicted. The new Tata Nano Twist Active will receive aesthetic enhancements with new bumpers and matching grille, new headlamps with black bezels and circular foglamps along with an openable hatch door. Interiors will also receive a new look with better upholstery and new instrumentation.

Under the hood, Tata Nano Twist Active will receive a three cylinder petrol engine offering 67 PS power while in addition it may also get a 624cc petrol engine offering 37.4 hp power at 5,500 rpm and 51 Nm peak torque at 4,000 rpm while there is also an AMT variant to look forward to. Fuel tank capacity has been increased to 25 liters from 15 liters seen on existing counterpart.

Along with the facelift variant, a large inventory of existing version of Nano was also seen inside the plant.

Where prices are concerned, Tata Nano Twist Active could come in at a price from INR 2.38-2.45 lakhs while the Twist AMT F-Tronic could be priced presumably from INR 2.70-2.85 lakhs. In the meantime, Tata is building up its inventory and will be dispatching the same to company dealerships with launch date around the corner.
