2016 Audi A4 and Q7 on display at Tokyo Motor Show

To be launched in India next year, the new generation Audi A4 is on display at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show in S Line avatar. Larger, lighter and more efficient than the current A4, it is set to go on sale from November 2015 in Europe. Once launched, 2016 Audi A4 will rival the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes Benz C Class.

Longer by 25mm, wider by 16mm and lighter by 120 kgs, thanks to the use of high tensile steel for its body structure and aluminium on its body panels and roof, A4 is more agile and dynamic than ever before.

Interiors are more spacious than before with an added 24mm of head room and 11mm of shoulder room in the front. Boot space on the 2016 Audi A4 is also increased by 15 liters to stand at 505 liters going upto 1,510 liters with rear seats folded down. Engine specs include three turbocharged four cylinder petrol engines and two four cylinder diesel engines besides two V6 diesel engines.

Audi is also showing off its new Audi Q7 e-tron quattro in Tokyo. Claiming to be amongst the most fuel efficient full sized SUVs on offer today, new Q7 in its e-tron avatar is powered by a 3.0 liter V6 diesel TDI engine and an electric motor. Together, this gives the Q7 e-tron a range of 1,410 km, and of 56 km when on all electric mode.

2016 Audi Q7 measures 5.05 metres long, 1.97 metres wide and 1.74 metres tall. This means that the new Q7 is shorter in length and narrower in width than the outgoing model. But, in spite of this, the interior space has been increased, offering occupants more head and leg room. Audi states that the new Audi Q7 is the most spacious SUV on the market.

NewAudi Q7 is due to be launched in India in the coming weeks. e-tron is not going to be launched here.
