Jaguar F-Pace luxury crossover has been unveiled in India for the very first time. It shares the show floor with the new XE, new XF and the new XJ which was recently launched in India. What makes the F-Pace special is that it is the first ever crossover from the automaker. Designed like a sports sedan, it is bound to make heads turn at the Auto Show which opened for public from today.
A total of 80% of F-Pace structyre is made of aluminium, thus making it one of the stiffest and lightest cars in the segment. Of this, 33% of aluminium is recycled. Lateral stiffness in the front is 50% greater than that seen on the Porsche Macan, while at the rear, stiffness is 35%. Coming in with an all wheel drive option makes the Jaguar F-Pace highly capable on Indian roads while adding to the vehicle’s sportiness.
Jaguar F-Pace will see similar engine lineup as is being offered on the Jaguar XE. The diesel option will be a 2.0 liter engine capable of 180 PS power while a 2.0 liter petrol engine offering 240 PS power along with a 3.0 liter engine capable of 340 PS and 380 PS outputs will also be on offer. The F-Pace will receive both rear wheel drive besides all wheel drive variants.
