Jeep Grand Cherokee, the most awarded vehicle in the company line-up, is regaled for its style and performance. Due for launch in India in the coming weeks, visitor can witness this premium luxury SUV in all its glory at the 2016 Auto expo.
Measuring 4,821 mm in length, 1,943 mm in width and 1,730 mm in height, it is powered by a 3.0 liter diesel engine offering 240 PS power and 570 Nm torque via 8 speed ZF automatic gearbox
Built to tackle the roughest of terrain, the Jeep Grand Cherokee gets daytime running headlamps, heated power folding mirrors with puddle lamps, large taillamps with signature LED lighting, a rear aerodynamic spoiler and wide window at the rear for better rear visibility.
Jeep Grand Cherokee will receive an Eco Mode thereby optimizing transmission shift schedule along with throttle sensitivity for better fuel efficiency. It will also receive Quadra-Lift air suspension system to lower body for enhanced aerodynamics and optimum fuel efficiency.
On board features will include well ventilated front seats and heated front and second row seats. It gets dual zone automatic climate control, memory function for driver seat besides door trims in Nappa leather. Safety features will be in the form of multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, a host of electronic safety equipment along with infotainment system consisting of UConnect touchscreen.
All Jeep models will be initially brought in via the CBU route into India while FCA promises local production later on so as to keep pricing competitive.
