2016 Auto Expo with Myles cars

2016 Auto Expo continues to grow as an unstoppable biennelle show organized by ACMA, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). This edition saw 65 manufacturers participate. Auto Expo 2016 was a great opportunity for companies to connect with customers and interactions included spot gifts, vouchers, and other winnings. Myles self-drive cars were offered at a flat 10 percent discount to those headed to Expo Mart along with provision of free entry passes.

Auto Expo 2016 displayed the best of all things automobile here. With car rents quickly becoming a way of life, the car ownership idea is no longer a priority for urban commuters. Car ownership isn’t cheap, and tends to get more expensive as you delay purchase decisions. By pattern, maintenance, and insurance costs increase.

Increased vehicle use today has resulted in alarming pollution levels, and resulting damage. Commuters are considering the fact that personal cars are not even used each day. Data shows for each car added to a car sharing network, 41 cars can be reduced from the ownership network.

Primarily car hires in India are used for outstation travel. Daily commuters are the next big car rental group.  Myles is present in metro markets where an increased number of commuters are shifting to car hire services. Self-drive car hiring for city usage has increased from 2 percent in 2014 to 17 percent.

Delhi Auto Expo visitors shared photographs to notify the brand using Myler at expo (#MylerAtExpo) to avail a 10 percent discount, and win vouchers. To cater to increased traffic headed to Greater Noida, DND was made tollfree in the morning and evening hours through Auto Expo duration to ease traffic movement.
Metro stations doubled up as ticket centres. To handle increased traffic, organizers operated 90 DTC buses daily from Botanical Garden Metro station to Expo Mart. 20 red DTC buses connected the venue to the parking areas. This was in addition to app-based and self-drive cab services that patrons turned to. Valid through the show, and the ongoing month, Myles users can avail of discounts on hourly, daily, weekly bookings in Delhi/NCR on bookings made between 1st and 29th February 2016 via aetms16 Myles.

With such a wide cache of cars displayed at Auto Expo, it’s no wonder that people would want to experience driving these cars. Car rentals ease access to vehicles one could only dream of driving someday. Myles has a wide fleet that caters to one’s need and aspiration. Competitive pricing of rentals makes even a Mercedes-Benz or Audi accessible.

Auto Expo hosted car renting services too. Myles, Carzonrent, and others are gaining traction in the market, and  a survey shows Myles as being popular.

Alongside visitors, media, CEOs, brand ambassadors, sportspersons, actors, officials from Central and State government, Embassies, foreign dignitaries and delegations visited in great numbers. The show specific mobile app reported 10,000 plus downloads over the 5 days of The Motor Show. Facebook and Twitter reported The Auto Expo – The Motor Show trending. Official Auto Expo website had more than a crore visitors over the seven days of The Motor Show. 2016 Auto Expo indoor exhibition space stood increased at 73,000 sq. metres and spanned across six large halls.

New urban mobility trends help chart out integrated and sustainable transport planning. Myles offers a car at an entry price point of Rs.50/hr, which helps connect a user to a car, and makes available an alternative transportation choice that saves time and money, and can be booked as per need.

Consumer response at 2016 Auto Expo reflects auto industry progress, and this optimism could transcend into consumer interest in the coming months. While the almost week long extravaganza ended on February 9th, it does set precedence for the next financial year. In keeping up visitor morale, organizers hosted a lottery everyday at the venue. Fourteen two-wheelers were given away by Hero MotoCorp, TVS Motors and Suzuki Motor Cycles to lucky winners over the 5 public days.

While car purchase remains an important decision, self-drive continues to grow as a transportation model. The modern day user is keen about self-drive [car sharing] and pooling.
