2016 Chevrolet Trax on display at IIMS 2016

The new 2016 Chevrolet Trax is being displayed at the IIMS show from 11-14 March 2016.

Priced at IDR 267 million (RM 79,241, INR 13,53,734) in Indonesia, the 2016 Chevrolet Trax SUV sports a host of updates. Launched in the country in December 2015, this is not the new 2017 Trax which madedebut at the Chicago Auto Show in February this year.

Set to rival Honda HR-V, 2016 Chevrolet Trax is powered by a 1.4-liter Ecotec turbo engine capable of 140 PS peak power and 200 Nm peak torque.The engine is mated to a 6-speed converter automatic with Tiptronic manual override.

2016 Chevrolet Trax measures 4,248mm in length and will sit on an extended wheelbase that goes upto 2,555mm. Interiors are comfortable and spacious for upto 5 adults. Seats are in a 60:40 format and foldable to extend cargo area upto 1,370 liters. Besides storage space in the boot area, the new Chevrolet Trax also sees a total of 15 storage compartments in its cabin.

Fitted with a host of on board equipment, these include 6 airbags, electrically operated windows, cruise control, auto dimming rear view mirrors, and trip computer. In terms of safety, the new 2016 Chevrolet Trax gets anti-lock braking system, rear parking distance sensors, hill start assist and three point rear seatbelts.

Infotainment is from an integrated audio unit with CD andMP3 player. Siri Eyes Free access to Chevrolet MyLink is also a part of the features on offer on the new Chevrolet Trax. It is for these reasons that the Chevrolet Trax is referred to as a SMART vehicle with Sunroof Electric sliding and tiltable, MyLink enternainment System with SIRI, a total of 6 Airbags and other safety features, comfortable and stable Ride and Turbocharged 1.4L ECOTEC engine with Triptonic.
