2016 Cobra Jet Mustang unveiled at SEMA Show

A factory built drag racer in the form of 2016 Cobra Jet Mustang is on display at the 2015 SEMA Show.

2016 Cobra Jet Mustang makes official debut at the 2015 SEMA Show. Sharing a lot with Mustang GT, Cobra Jet Mustang gets a some pretty impressive enhancements – lightweight racing brakes, Aeromotive fuel system with a trunk-mounted fuel cell, 8.50-certified roll cage, Corbeau FIA seats, lightweight racing brakes, race-specific coil-over shocks and springs, five-point race harnesses and race-prepped automatic transmission.

It sports the same 5.0 liter V8 engine seen on board the Mustang GT, but thanks to Ford Performance, peak power has been enhanced to 575 hp. To keep the engine cool, it uses an electric water pump which has been borrowed from Ford C-MAX Hybrid.
