Ducati Hypermotard 939, 939 SP and Hyperstrada 939 have been detailed prior to their public debut at the EICMA Show. Ducati’s new Hypermotard 939 is priced at £9,995 (US$15,169/INR 10,00,023), Hypermotard 939 SP is priced at £12,595 (US$19,115/INR 12,59,868) while the Hyperstrada 939 comes in with a price tag of £11,195 (US$16,991/INR 11,20,139).
Each of these motorcycles will sport new 937cc twin cylinder engines offering 113hp peak power at 9,000 rpm while torque stands at 72 lb/ft at 7,500 rpm leading to better acceleration and improved performance as compared to the outgoing Hypermotard 821. All three Ducati bikes will receive fully adjustable suspension, Brembo brakes and Bosch backed three stage ABS along with adjustable 8 level traction control and a total of three ride modes.
2016 Ducati Hypermotard-939 SPThe Hypermotard and Hyperstrada gets Sport, Touring and Enduro ride modes with the Sport offering full power with RbW throttle and level 3 traction control. Touring mode offers full access to the 113hp with lower throttle response and level 4 traction control while the third mode cuts off power output at 75hp and offers level 6 traction control.
Hypermotard SP gets Race, Sport and Wet ride modes with Race offering full power delivery and high throttle response along with level 2 traction control. Sports mode offers full power at medium throttle response and level 3 traction while Wet mode is limited to 75 hp power and low throttle response. Where tyres are concerned, the Hypermotard 939 with dry weight of 181 kgs uses Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres while the Hypermotard 939 SP weighing 178 kgs uses Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres and Hyperstrada 939 with dry weight of 187 kg receives Pirelli Scorpion Trail tyres.
