2016 Ducati Monster 1200R

2016 Ducati Monster 1200R is the most powerful Ducati naked bike ever.

Ducati’s new Monster 1200R is powered by a 1198.4 cc Testastrella 11° DS, L-Twin cylinders, Desmodromic, liquid-cooled engine. This engine makes 160 hp at 9,250 rpm and 131.4 Nm torque at 7,750 rpm mated to a 6 speed gearbox while stopping power via radially mounted Brembo Monobloc evo M50 4-piston calipers is at 37m from 100 to 0 kmph and top speed is pegged at 250 kmph.

2016 Ducati Monster 1200R is capable of 0 to 100 kmph in 3.2 seconds, receives Brembo braking system and adjustable Ohlins suspension while its engine is sportier and design even more sophisticated.

Sportiness is at its zenith with a tubular steel Trellis frame and Tri-W spoke forged alloy wheels Pirelli encased in Diable Supercorsa SP tires measuring 120/70 ZR17 in front and 200/55 ZR17 at the rear. Suspension from Ohlins include fully adjustable 48mm usd forks in front, while at the rear are Progressive linkage with Ohlins monoshock on aluminum single sided swing arm.

Safety features on the new 2016 Ducati Monster 1200R includes ABS as standard along with Ducati Safety Pack which include 8 level Ducati Traction Control. The 1200R boasts of three driving modes of Sport, Urban and Adventure while the bike is more powerful and lighter with total weight at 397 pounds thanks to forged wheels and carbon fiber parts.

Offered in two colours of Ducati Red and Thrilling Black, pricing of 2016 Ducati Monster 1200R has not yet been revealed.
