2019 Ducati Diavel 1260 launch price Rs 17.7 L – 1260S at Rs 19.25 L

Ducati Daivel 1260, showcased at the EICMA Show last year, has been launched in India today. This is the second generation Daivel and it is an advanced version of the previous Diavel. Slated to come in via the CBU route from Thailand, Ducati Daivel 1260 is offered in two variants of Standard and S in India.

Ducati Diavel 1260 and 1260 S launched at INR 17.70 lacs and INR 19.25 (Ex-Showroom Pan India), bookings now open across all Ducati dealerships. Sergi Canovas, Managing Director of Ducati India said, “When the Diavel was launched, it created a new category altogether. It became a motorcycle responsible for giving a new definition to power cruisers and created a cult following amongst young motorcycle enthusiasts for its devilish looks and superbike level performance.

The new Diavel 1260 is a step above its predecessor, promising the personalities of a naked roadster and a power cruiser, making it a “Mega Monster”. The Diavel has been one of most loved power cruisers in India and was one of our most popular models and we are confident that the new Diavel 1260 will be loved and celebrated by the rider community.”

Ducati Daivel 1260 will see several upgrades over the Daivel 1200. It will be 5 kgs heavier and will see a more powerful engine along with updated electronics. It will be seen with sharper lines and a more chiseled look while it will receive a 3.5” TFT color display for its instrument console.

It also comes in with 6 axis IMU, 3 riding modes of Sport, Touring and Urban and Bosch cornering ABS. It will also sport 8 setting Ducati Traction Control 8 level Ducati Wheelie Control and Cruise Control. The Daivel 1260 will also be seen with backlit handlebar switches, full LED lighting system and self cancelling turn indicators as a part of the updates.

Both variants of the Daivel 1260 will be powered by a 1262cc, Ducati Testastretta DVT, L twin cylinder, 8 valves, liquid cooled engine offering 157 bhp power at 9,500 rpm and 129 Nm torque at 7,500 rpm mated to a 6 speed gearbox and promising a top speed of 272+ kmph.

Suspension is via adjustable 50mm inverted forks in the front and monoshock at the rear while braking is through twin discs at the front with radially mounted Brembo M4.32 calipers and single disc at the rear with floating Brembo calipers. Daivel 1260S variant gets 48mm Ohlins fully adjustable inverted forks along with Brembo M50 calipers.
