Facelifted retro classic 500 gets secondary headlamp units to create a distinct light signature in the dark.

The facelifted 500 can bee identified by elliptical secondary headlamp units below the primary ones, and a new bumper with redesigned air dam, chrome insert and small circular foglights. LED main headlamps will be optional.

The profile is pretty much untouched save for new wheels while the rear gets redesigned LED taillights and a chrome insert on the bumper to complement the one upfront. Changes to the interior come in the form of new UConnect 5-inch infotainment scree, chrome embellished steering wheel, new dashboard trims and upholstery, and redesigned power window switches.

Interior is bestowed with 5-inch Uconnect display, chrome accents, new dashbaord trim and revised upholstery.

Fiat 500 facelift is expected to continue with its 0.9-litre TwinAir turbo and 1.2-litre petrol motors which are mated either to a 5-speed manual gearbox or a DuaLogic AMT. The engines would be tweaked to lower emissions and improve efficiency.

Though the car was sold in limited numbers in India, it’s unclear whether Fiat will introduce 2016 500 facelift in the country or not. However, performance oriented Abarth 595 Competizione is all set to be launched later this month.
