Firstly, the motorcycle’s silhouette matches that of Passion’s, with focus to head light, fuel tank and tail piece regions. So it must be a new model or variant of Hero Passion.Secondly, engine orientation is different from current model’s, and the cylinder block looks bigger, suggesting it is a bigger, most probably a 125 cc engine. Also, since the engine looks new and given that Hero MotoCorp has announced in-house development of new engines, it is safe to assume that this motor is not from previous Joint Venture partner Honda’s stable.
Further, test mule of next generation Hero Passion reveals some upgrades despite wearing a cloak. Features new headlamp assembly & cowl, digital instrument panel, stylish side mirrors, new handlebar with end dampers, 6-spoke alloy wheels, new silencer & cover design, fresh tail lamp, turn indicators and new golden hue.
Currently, the largest two wheeler producer has only one 125 cc offering, in the name of Hero Glamour 125. Seemingly following the footsteps of Bajaj, Hero is adding variants to Passion nameplate with multiple engine displacements, first 100, then 110 and now 125.
