An all new product from the stables of Hero MotoCorp, 2016 Hero Splendor Pro will sport new features and a new engine. To be launched in the commuter category, the bike will receive new and clear lens headlamps and clear lens turn indicators.
It will also feature a steel leg/crash guard, steel saree guard and silver grab rails. Sporting a new 3 pot instrument cluster with silver accents, the new Hero Splendor will also receive side stand indicator, black exhausts with steel heat shield and full chain cover. Expect the ride to offer more comfort, thanks to contoured seats, while fuel tank gets a boxy design.
Also expected is a new engine, which will power the 2016 Hero Splendor Pro. This could be a 100cc/110cc single cylinder, which Hero has been developing in-house. It will be an air cooled petrol engine offering about 8-9 bhp power and 8-9 Nm torque mated to a 4 speed gearbox. This new Hero engine is said to be even more fuel efficient than the engine seen on its predecessor, which was developed by Honda.
The 2016 Hero Splendor Pro is seen with a head pipe which circulates wasted fuel and which draws it back into the head via the carburettor. The pipe in question is visible half in heat wrap while the other half is bare towards the bottom in the title image.
With all these changes on board the 2016 Hero Splendor Pro, once can safely expect to see an increase in prices which will be announced closer to launch. The current Splendor Pro retails at between INR 46,337 and INR 49,288.
