Launched in Thailand by Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd. the new Honda Brio hatchback and Honda Brio Amaze facelift can be seen with some exterior and interior updates while mechanics remain unchanged.
New projector headlights and LED position lights are seen on the 2016 Honda Amaze facelift. This feature is not on offer on the Amaze facelift in India which was launched back in March this year.
The headlamp unit is borrowed from the Honda Mobilio RS. It is also seen on board the new Honda Brio RS variant. Updates on its exterior also include a new front grille, alloy wheels, bootlid spoiler and new front bumper along with modified tail lights.
2016 Honda Amaze facelift shares its interiors with the one launched in India. It gets new dashboard, new Multi Information Display and Bluetooth enabled music system. It also gets Smart Key System and Push Button Ignition which are not on offer in the Amaze facelift in India.
Honda Amaze facelift in Thailand sees no changes in engine specifications and continues to be powered by the same 1.2 liter four cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine offered on its Indian counterpart.
This engine is capable of 90 PS peak power and 110 Nm peak torque. Prices of the Honda Brio Amaze facelift which is offered in two variants are priced at 517,000 Baht (INR 9,71,529) for the V CVT variant while the SV CVT variant gets a price tag of 577,000 Baht (INR 10.84 lakh).
