2016 Honda Mobilio gets Honda BR-V inspired dashboard in Indonesia

PT Honda Prospect Motor, Indonesian subsidiary of Honda launches Mobilio facelift with a host of interior updates.

2016 Honda Mobilio facelift, the updated seven seater MPV, has been launched in Indonesia. It is offered in six variants to include S, E, E CVT, E Prestige, RS CVT and RS. Each of these are powered by the same 1.5 liter SOHC i-VTEC engine capable of 118 PS power and 144 Nm torque mated to a 5 speed manual transmission on the S, E and RS trim while CVTs make their way on the E CVT, Prestige and RS CVT.

Sporting a few external updates to include new alloys and revised fog lamps, interiors have been refreshed with new instrument cluster, dashboard and central console, very much like the new Honda BR-V crossover.

A multi function steering wheel, latest audio system, climate control system and up to date navigation is on offer on the new Mobilio while interiors are spacious for upto 7 adult passengers. The dashboard sports a centralized 6.1 inch LED screen function for audio, navigation and climate. Seating is done up in leather while the 3 spoke steering wheel sees an addition of chrome accents.

Pricing of the 2016 Honda Mobilio launched in Indonesia starts at 180,500,000 Rupiah (INR 8.80 lakhs) and go all the way to 234,500,000 Rupiah (INR 11.44 lakh) for the top-spec RS CVT variant.

One of the most successful cars in its segment, Honda Mobilio has Honda Mobilio has failed to attract buyers in India with sales in December 2015 reported at just 192 units. With the launch of 2016 Honda Mobilio in India, the company could hope to revive sales and rivalry with Maruti Ertiga.
