2016 Honda Pilot 3-row SUV unveiled at 2015 Chicago Auto Show with 3.5 litre V6

Latest version of Honda Pilot SUV gets triple-slat chrome grille flanked by large headlights. Sizeable bumpers, gradually sloping roof-line and ‘L’ shaped tail lamps (kind of like Hyundai Elite i20) round off the distinctive characteristics of new 2016 Honda Pilot. Top end variant of 2016 Pilot is said to sport LED headlamps, LED Daytime Running Lights, 20-inch alloy wheels and panoramic sunroof.

The 3-row 8-seater Honda Pilot SUV is around 89 mm longer and 136 kg lighter than the model it replaces.

Interior of 2016 Honda Pilot is embellished with more premium plastics and fabrics. The cabin gets large centre console, 8-inch infotainment system, rear multimedia system with 9-inch display, LED map lights, heated steering wheel, heated / ventilated front seats, heated second row seats, option of second row captain chairs and the like.

Honda has not revealed the power and torque specifications of all-new Pilot’s 3.5 litre V6 engine that has cylinder deactivation technology. But they have said that it gets six-speed automatic transmission in lower trims and option of nine-speed auto on higher-end variants. Power is sent to front wheels, but choice of All Wheel Drive will also be available.
