2016 Honda Shuttle is based on new Jazz, revealed in Japan (Photos)
Showcased by Honda Japan, the new 2016 Honda Shuttle is officially revealed. Just like the first generation, the new Shuttle is also a station wagon version of the Jazz / City. It will be seen with petrol 2WD and 4WD hybrid options.
Though not launched officially, vital details and photos of the upcoming Shuttle were revealed on the company website. Launch is pegged in Japan first, after which the car will be launched in many countries across the globe (not in India).
2016 Honda Shuttle has grown in dimensions as compared to its first generation model. It now features longer rear overhang and larger cargo space. It provides more than 500 liters of boot space without folding rear seats. Petrol variant will be powered by a 1.5 liter Atkinson cycle engine, while the hybrid will have same motor along with an electric motor powered by a a lithium ion battery pack. Transmission is taken care by a dual clutch gearbox. Fuel efficiency of hybrid is pegged at 36.4 kmpl.
Sitting on 16” alloy wheels, 2016 Honda Shuttle will sport City brake active system, Honda smart key system, leather wrapped steering wheel, navigation system, LED light cluster and heated front seats. It will also be seen with touch operated climate controls, push button start and dual front airbags.
