2016 Mercedes C Coupe has made its online debut ahead of its first public appearance at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. It’s not a surprise that the stylish coupe emerges as a miniature version of S Coupe which was launched in India a few weeks ago.
Based on C Class’ underpinnings, the Coupe is 95 mm longer and 45 mm wider than its predecessor. The wheelbase has been increased by 80 mm.
Apart from the traditional coupe silhouette, the latest Merc sports large multispoke alloy wheels, an accentuated waistline, an integrated boot lid spoiler and horizontal rear combination lights. Inside, the dashboard design and seats are derived from its sedan sibling but individuality comes in the form of a flat bottomed steering wheel, and exclusive color themes and upholstery options.

As of now, Mercedes discusses only about C 300 variant and its 4MATIC extension, both powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged direct injection petrol motor which has 241 hp and 370 Nm of torque on tap. The Coupe is expected to derive its engine and transmission options from C Class sedan.
Equipment list includes optional LED headlights, a suite of safety and assistance systems including adaptive cruise control, active lane keeping assist, brake assist, park assist with 360-degree camera, COMAND infotainment system with navigation, optional adjustable air suspension, and many more.
