2016 Mercedes E Class Edition E launch price INR 48.6 lakh

Mercedes Benz E Class is the first ever luxury sedan to be made in India, which was 20 years ago. From 1995 till today, they have sold over 35,000 E Class sedans in India

Today, Mercedes Benz India, the largest luxury car manufacturer in the country, celebrated the occasion by launching a special edition E Class, called Edition E. Along with the new Edition E, Mercedes Benz India also showcased the all five generation of E Class’s which have been made in India over the years.
2016 Mercedes E Class Edition E will be available with three engine options. First one is Edition E E200, which is priced from INR 48.60 lakh, ex-showroom, Pune. It is powered by a 2.0-liter petrol engine which generates 184 hp power and 300 Nm torque. It does a 0-100 kmph acceleration in 7.9 seconds and has a top speed of 233 kmph.

Above this is the Edition E E250 CDI which is priced at INR 50.76 lakh, ex-Pune. This variant is powered by a 2.1-liter diesel engine generating 204 hp and 500 Nm torque. 0-100 kmph acceleration is achieved in 7.5 seconds while it has a top speed of 242 kmph.

Top of the line E-Class Edition E is the E350 CDI which is priced at INR 60.61 lakh, ex-Pune. It is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 diesel engine generating max power of 265 hp and peak torque of 620 Nm. It does a 0-100 sprint in 6.6 seconds and has a top speed of 250 kmph.

Features on offer with all three variants of Edition E includes ‘Edition E’ badge, illuminated three pointed star logo on the front grille, black hub caps, new look fabric-topic tail lights, electronic sunroof with pre-safe, SD card navigation, Mercedes Benz Apps, sporty brake pedals, Thermotronic Auto AC, memory seats with 3 settings, Active park assist, 20.3 cm high resolution colour display, leather upholstery, adaptive brake lights, adaptive airbags, intelligent light system, 360 degree camera, Harman Kardon surround system with 14 speakers and Dolby 5.1, along with rear seat entertainment system.
