To be powered by the same three and four cylinder diesel and petrol engines as seen on its current counterpart, the 2016 MINI Clubman One D will receive a 1.5 liter three cylinder diesel engine offering 116 PS power and 270 Nm torque averaging 3.8-3.9 liters per 100 km.
Cooper D Clubman receives a 2.0 liter four cylinder diesel engine capable of 150 PS power and 330 Nm torque while Cooper SD Clubman draws in 190PS power and 400 Nm torque from a 2.0 liter four cylinder diesel engine with acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph achieved in 7.4 seconds. Cooper S Clubman gets a 1.5 liter three cylinder engine producing 136 PS power and 220 Nm torque going upto 230 Nm with overboost. Acceleration to 100 kmph is possible in 7.1 seconds.
Set to go on sale in Germany following its public debut at Frankfurt Motor Show, the redesigned Clubman will see increased dimensions and is 27 cms longer and 9 cms wider while wheelbase has also been increased by 10 cms. These added dimensions not only make cabin more spacious but cargo space can be extended to 1,250 liters with rear seats folded down.
At the showing, MINI will be demonstrating ways in which customers will be able to fashion their vehicle to suit their specific requirements. A host of on board in-car infotainment features and various optional accessories will be presented for increased safety, maximum comfort, versatility and enhanced appeal.
These will include Yours Interior Styles with back lit door bezels, LED interior and ambient lighting and projection of the MINI logo on the ground from its exterior mirror when door is opened and closed. A unique feature includes Comfort Access option with non contact opening of split doors at the rear while interiors boast of use of quality material and premium level workmanship.
Market launch of the 2016 MINI Clubman will be held on 31st October 2015.
