2016 Skoda Superb L&K spied testing in India again


Showcased at 2015 Geneva Auto Show Skoda Superb L&K edition is the top of the line variant of Skoda’s flagship car, Superb.

2016 Skoda Superb L&K variant has been undergoing road tests in India ahead of anticipated launch along with it regular variant in the country. The 2016 Skoda Superb Laurin & Klement edition (names of Skoda’s founders) is a top end variant of the Skoda Superb, the brand’s flagship car.

More spacious than the existing model, the 2016 Skoda Superb L&K will be based on the Volkswagen MQB platform. It will be 80mm longer and 85 kgs lighter than its current counterpart while interiors are also more spacious. Boot space stands at 625 liters which can be extended upto 1,760 liters with rear seats turned down.

Exteriors receive angular bi-xenon headlamps and LED DRLs besides LED tail lamps. The L&K model also receives a strong shoulder line running along its side profile while it sits on 17” alloy wheels. Being offered in three drive modes of Smartlink infotainment system, new powerful audio system and heated seats, 2016 Skoda Superb L&K will display ‘Laurin & Klement’ badges on the front fenders.

Where engine specifications on the 2016 Skoda Superb L&K is concerned, a 2.0 liter TDI diesel engine and a 1.8 liter TSI petrol engine will be offered mated to manual and automatic transmission options.
