There is no change in the wheelbase or overall length.

The 2016 Toyota Rush in Indonesia is all set to be launched shortly with some noteworthy upgrades. According to a website called Toyota-ID (not the brand’s official Indonesian website), the updated Rush compact crossover will get two 7-seat variants with 2+3+2 configuration.

The website also has a picture of the third row to back its claim. The additional seating capacity will be available in two variants namely TRD Sportivo 7 and TRD Sportivo Ultimo. Rest of the cabin is not revealed yet but we don’t expect any significant change since the vehicle underwent a facelift less than a year ago.

The 7-seat variant is aimed at counteracting the Honda BR-V.

On the outside, the Rush continues without any bodywork modification whatsoever. Considering that the Toyota SUV has a compact footprint, the rear most row of seats are expected to have very limited legroom. The interesting move to arm the Rush with addition seating capacity is a reaction to the Honda BR-V’s warm reception in Indonesia.

Visually, the TRD Sportivo 7 and Ultimo receive red contrasting decals on front grille, near C-Pillar and on the spare wheel cover. The Ultimo also receives a new set of alloy wheels. The suspension system is claimed to be made softer for increased comfort. All other aspects of the car would continue as there are.
