2017 Audi Q5 makes global debut in Paris – Photos & Video

Second gen Audi Q5 sales will begin at the start of 2017. India launch is expected to take place by around Diwali 2017.

Living upto its predecessor’s reputation, the new Audi Q5 sports innovations in quattro drive system with ultra tech, engine efficiency, air suspension with damper control improved infotainment and assistance systems.

Headlight options include LED or high-resolution Matrix LED tech with dynamic turn lights. Taillights too are available with optional dynamic turn signals. New Audi Q5 sports a curved and strongly undercut shoulder line. Prominent wheel arches underline quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. Rear horizontal design lines endorse width and presence. Keeping with tradition, the tailgate wraps around C-pillars.

New Audi Q5 will be available in 14 exterior colours. Variant options are as follows: sport and design, S line sport package, design selection, and S line exterior package. Design line offers contrasting gray add-on parts laying emphasis on a rugged appeal. Sport equipment line features parts fully painted in exterior colour.

New Audi Q5 measures 4.66 metres (15.3 ft) in length, 1.89 metres (6.2 ft) in width, and 1.66 metres (5.4 ft) in height. The overall bigger dimensions are supported on a wheelbase of 2.82 metres (9.3 ft). Depending on the engine, weight reduction is upto 90 kg (198.4 lb). Body architecture is developed from maximum tensile strength steel and aluminium.


The five seater SUV launches in Europe with five engine options, four TDI engines and one TFSI. 2.0 TDI engines have an output of 110 kW (150 hp), 120 kW (163 hp) and 140 kW (190 hp). The 2.0l diesel engine returns 140 kW (190 hp).
2.0 TFSI output stands at 185 kW (252 hp) with fuel consumption at of 6.8 litres of gasoline per 100 km (34.6 US mpg) for emissions of 154 grams CO2 per km (247.8 g/mi). The 3.0 TDI returns max power of 210 kW (286 hp) and 620 Nm (457.3 lb ft) of torque.
