2017 Ford EcoSport facelift has been spied on test in Brazil on multiple occasions. Thanks to these, and leaked patent images, Autoblog has created a render of the same, claiming that this is very close to what the actual facelift look like.
Spy shots reveal that the Ford EcoSport is somewhat inspired by the 2017 Ford Endeavour, and so has the render carried a new face. Also to be noted is the externally mounted spare wheel, new alloy wheels and modified headlamp assembly.
Interiors will boast of a new instrument cluster with a new speedometer and color screen for multi-information-display. It will also get an updated infotainment system with Ford’s SYNC2 media system. The steering wheel and upper central console layouts, however, remain the same.
There will be no change in mechanics on board the 2017 Ford EcoSport facelift which will be powered by three engine options that include a 123 hp 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine, 110 hp 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine and a 100 hp 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine.
Being the first proper SUV in the sub 4-meter segment, Ford EcoSport in India has seen excellent results. After delivering best in class sales in the country, Ford EcoSport also received the title of India’s most exported car last fiscal. Ford India noted exports to the extent of 83,325 units of EcoSport, up 51% as compared to exports in the earlier period.
In the domestic market, Ford EcoSport is getting stiff competition from new Maruti Vitara Brezza, which has managed to become the best-selling car in the segment by a huge margin.
