2017 Honda CBR250R and new Honda CB250F launched in Japan
2017 Honda CBR250R and 2017 Honda CB250F receive cosmetic updates and new color schemes.
Launched in Japan, 2017 Honda CBR250R is priced at JYP 4,98,960 (INR 2.94 lakhs) while the 2017 CB250F comes in at JYP 4,64,400 (INR 2.74 lakhs). Cosmetic changes, new color schemes and several other updates are evident on the two bikes.
2017 Honda CBR250R gets a sportier stance with distinctive black badging, a Honda logo on undercowl, and is presented in three color schemes of Millennium Red, Black and Ross White.
The Honda CB250F gets graphic stripe on its radiator and seat cowl and is offered in two color schemes of Millennium Red and Black. Distinctive bronze finish engine casing and cylinder head cover is seen on the 2017 Honda CBR250R and 2017 Honda CB250F.
Honda CBR250R and CB250F command a kerb weight of 161 kg and 158 kg respectively. They get powered by a 249cc, single cylinder, DOHC engine offering 29 PS peak power at 9,000 rpm and 23 Nm torque at 7,500 rpm mated to a 6 speed gearbox.
Fuel tank capacity is at 13 liters while ground clearance stands at 145mm where the fared version is concerned and at 150mm on the naked bike. ABS is offered as an option on both bikes while the Indian spec model will get dual channel ABS at an extra cost of INR 30,000 (in Indian currency).
Launched only in Japan as of now, the two new 250cc bikes will soon be launched in other parts of the world. Considering that the CBR250R is on sale in India, it is possible that Honda India updates the 205R in India as well.
