2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit will see the debut of a technology filled 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

Packed to the gills with technology, the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class will not only be safer and more powerful but its state of the art gadgetry is sure to find itself many buyers. Not yet ready for launch, the German automaker has listed out the onboard technology which include a long list of smartphone enabled features.

First of which is the autonomous parking – Park Pilot via smartphone, Near Field Communication based unlock, vehicle start via smartphone, adaptive headlights, vehicle to X communication, pedestrian identification, adaptive cruise control, adaptive steering, emergency braking for cross traffic and rear seatbelt airbags. The list of features goes on to include an air bladder that propels occupants to the center of the car in the event of side impact and audio system that triggers eardrum reflexes to ensure no hearing damage during crash.

The list of technology on board 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is so impressive that details of powertrain and chassis specifications and other details of the car’s interior and exterior makeup have been sidetracked.

Once launched in 2016, the new E Class will be much more tech laden than the technologically advanced Mercedes flagship, the S Class, especially in areas of autonomous driving and connectivity. To be showcased at the 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit early next year, the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class will arrive in showrooms by summer 2016.
