2018 BMW G310R India launch price Rs 2.99 lakhs – Bajaj made KTM Duke 390 rival

Made in India BMW G310R was officially launched in India today. Price starts from Rs 2.99 lakh, ex-showroom / Rs 3.78 lakh on-road. It features sporty headlight fairing, powerful headlight, fuel tank trim and roadster design lines complement the short seat.

The bike features a gold anodised fork, brake calipers, and an aluminium swing arm. Wide tyres optimise riding experience. It rivals the Bajaj made KTM Duke 390 in India.

Power comes from a water-cooled, single cylinder, four-stroke, four valve 313 cc engine with two overhead camshafts, and wet sump lubrication. Performance is pegged at power output of 25 kW (34 PS/ 33.6 BHP) at 9500 rpm), and max torque of 28 Nm at 7500 U/min. Compression ratio stands at 10,6 : 1. An Electronic fuel injection (EFI) is in use, and the bike meets EUIV standards.

BMW G 310 R goes from 0-50 kmph in 2.5 seconds, 0-60 kmph is 3.7 seconds, and from 0-100 kmph in 7.5 seconds. Max speed is pegged at 143 km/h and fuel efficiency of 100 kms per 3.33l, ie, 30 kmpl. Fuel requirement is a minimum of unleaded 91 octane. Fuel tank capacity is 11L with reserve capacity of 1L.

Gearbox and clutch mechanism are as follows – 6 gears and a Synchromesh transmission Integrated in the motor housing, multiple-disc clutch, endless Z-ring chain, and shock damping in rear wheel hub. The cast aluminium wheels come with a 110/70 R 17″ front tyre, and 150/60 17″ rear tyre. Functionality comes about with a multiple-disc clutch in oil bath, mechanically operated, constant mesh 6-speed gearbox integrated in crankcase.

A Bolted steel frame, and tubular steel rear frame are in use.

The naked bike is available in three colours – Style HP, Cosmic Black, and Racing Red. Equipped with USD forks, single disk front brake, rear pre-load adjustable, radial front brake caliper, and upside down fork, turn indicator smoked glass, LED tail light, ABS is offered as standard.

The lightweight offering with its low seat, has a comprehensive digital console. The console features a speedometer, tachometer, trip meter, odometer, engine temperature, and fuel consumption gauge, and notifies ABS light, RPM/gear display, low fuel warning light, service reminder, low oil indicator, and low battery indicator. A single key for all locks, a seat bench and pillion rider footrest and grab handles are standard. 3 years unlimited kms warranty is offered.
