2018 Datsun Redi-Go limited edition launched – To boost sales this Diwali

Datsun has introduced a limited edition Redigo in India. The limited-run model is available with both 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre engine options. As part of the limited edition package, the car gets a contrast paint shade option for the roof, red and black accents on the body, wheel caps and even on the dashboard.

It will also be available with unique red and black leather upholstery on the inside. The budget hatchback also gets rear parking sensors as standard, along with chrome door handles and a unique shade for the carpet mats.

Datsun Redigo limited edition has been introduced at a launch price of Rs 3.58 lakh for the 0.8-litre model, and Rs 3.85 lakh for the 1.0-litre version. Prices listed are ex-sh Delhi. This makes Datsun Redi-Go one of the cheapest car in India.

An attempt to boost sales for the festive season that has just gotten underway, Datsun Redigo limited edition variants are on offer as MT options, and not AMT. Colour palette on offer includes Red, Silver, and White.

The limited edition package includes roof contrast paint, red and black body and AC vent accents, wheel caps, and front grille and dashboard inserts. A choice of red and black leather upholstery is on offer.

Datsun Redigo limited edition exterior updates include a roof wrap, and body and tailgate graphics. Front and rear bumper undercovers are included. Standard features include rear parking assist sensors with distance display, satin chrome bezel on gear knob, chrome door handles, and carpet mats in a special shade.

Peter Clissold, Vice President – Marketing at Nissan Motors India Pvt. Ltd. said, “This festive season, Datsun wants to make the celebration more special by delighting customers with the powerful and vibrant Redigo Limited Edition. The refreshing design along with power packed performance is a testimony of our commitment towards customers to offer progressive mobility solutions.”

Datsun sales are not as expected. At the time of launch, the company was hoping for 10,000 units sales a month. But that has not been the case. Cumulative sales are about 2,500 units to 3,000 units a month. The company will update their entire line-up of cars in the months ahead. Datsun Go and Go+ facelift will launch next month, Redi-Go facelift is likely to launch in 2019 in India. In time, a Datsun compact SUV will launch in India.
