2018 Honda Africa Twin launch price Rs 13.23L – GP Red colour scheme

Bookings for 2018 Honda Africa Twin have now commenced in India. A chosen few will be given the opportunity to watch their faourite riders live at MotoGP. Bookings are now extended to the first 50 customers for the limited in number bike. Booking enquiries can be made at any of the 22 Honda Wing World outlets or online.

Showcased at Auto Expo, 2018 Honda Africa Twin is available for a price of Rs 13.23 lacs (ex-sh, Delhi) in GP Red colour scheme.

Throttle by Wire (TBW) improves engine output management, feel and rear wheel traction. Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) features 7 Levels – Level 1, for aggressive riding off-road to Level 7 for maximum sense of security on slippery, wet tarmac. It is possible to turn HSTC off. Use of a lithium-ion battery reduces 2.3 kg in weight.

The Parallel Twin 999.11cc engine returns max power of 65.4 kW (89PS) @7500rpm and 93.1 Nm Torque@6000rpm. The bike retains Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) tech. Automated clutch and shift operation system upholds the direct acceleration feel of a manual transmission. DCT has three modes – Automatic D mode for city and highway riding with optimum fuel efficiency; Automatic S mode for sportier riding to rev a bit higher before shifting up, and downshift quicker when decelerating for extra engine braking; MT mode offer full manual control and shift gears with the left handlebar trigger control buttons. Riding modes are comprised of different levels of Power (P) and Engine Braking (EB) for varied riding conditions.
TOUR, URBAN, GRAVEL

Userpreference can be set at preferred combination of Power, EB and HSTC levels, and can be changed with controls on the left hand switchgear. ABS features 310mm ‘wave’ style, twin floating front discs with Nissin 4-pot radial calipers. Rear disc is a 256mm ‘wave’ style with a 1-pot caliper.
