2018 Hyundai Grand i10 price increased in India by up to Rs 21,000

Launched in India a little over 1 year back, the Grand i10 is one of the best selling car in India.

First launched in September 2013, as Grand i10 in India, Hyundai launched a facelifted version of the same last year in February. Offered with a a new diesel engine, Hyundai has announced a price increase across the range of Grand i10.

The reason for the latest increase in price of Grand i10 is because of increase in input cost, says Hyundai India. The new prices will come into effect from 1st August 2018.

In India, Hyundai Grand i10 is slotted below the i20 in the company line-up. It is 100 mm longer in length as compared to the i10 and is also wider, giving more interior space. It is offered in a choice of petrol and diesel engine options.

Petrol engine is in the form of a 1.2 liter mill generating 83 PS and 114 Nm. Diesel engine is in the form of a 1.2 liter, which replaces the older 1.1 liter motor that generated 71 PS and 180 Nm. The new 1.2 liter engine delivers 75 PS power at 4000 rpm and 190 Nm torque at 1750 to 2250 rpm. Transmission options include manual as well as automatic.

New Grand i10 features a new dashboard layout with 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system. It also gets auto folding external mirrors, 1 GB in-built memory storage with music system for your multimedia needs, rear AC vents, rear parking sensors with rear camera), cooled glove box, two toned beige interiors, 14 inch alloys, start/stop button, smart key, Airbags, and ABS.

2018 Hyundai Grand i10 facelift will continue to compete with likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift, Honda Brio and the likes. Hyundai now gears up for the launch of new Santro, which will be slotted below the Grand i10.
