Due for launch in the coming days, the interiors of the 2018 Mahindra XUV500 has been leaked. Exteriors undisguised photos were leaked last week. New design elements can be seen on exterior and interior while its 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine has also been updated for added power and performance.
Exteriors of 2018 Mahindra XUV500 facelift are noted with new triangular tail lamps and a redesigned tailgate. It also gets a wide license plate, new tail accents and roof spoiler with an integrated stop light.
Its front end is dominated by a new 6 slot radiator grille and horizontal LED DRLs. Minor tweaks are seen on front and rear bumpers while the top spec XUV500 receives dual tone diamond cut alloy wheels. Lower specs will be seen with regular designed alloy wheels.
Interiors are seen with several updates that include a glossy black central console, tan leather seating and chrome finished gear knob, handbrake, central arm rest and steering wheel. There will also be an updated touchscreen infotainment system and a leather dashboard.
The same 2.2 liter mHawk diesel engine will be seen powering 2018 Mahindra XUV500 facelift which has been tweaked for added power. It will also get a 2.2 liter petrol engine with both engines mated to 6 speed manual or Aisin automatic gearbox.
The more powerful 2.2 liter engine generating 155 hp will only be offered with W11 variant with AWD. All other variants will continue with the same 2.2L 140 hp engine which is currently on sale.

2.2 liter diesel 140 hp with MT, steel wheels, dual AC manual, black and grey interiors, dual exhausts, roof rails, mobile charging point for front row, remote tailgate opening, power windows, follow-me-home headlamps, rear window wiper washer with defogger, flat folding 2nd and 3rd row seating.

2.2 liter diesel 140 hp with MT and AT, steering mounted controls, cruise control, auto AC, chrome front grille, black and tan interiors.
2018 XUV500 W9
2.2 liter diesel 140 hp with MT and AT, 17 inch alloys, piano black accent on center console, infotainment system with Android Auto, mobile charging for 1st and 2nd row, telescopic steering, reverse parking camera,.
2018 XUV500 W11
2.2 liter diesel 140 hp with MT and AT, dual tone leather seats, camping lamp, puddle lamps, electrical controls for driver seat, chrome trim exterior, leather finish on dashboard.
2018 XUV500 W11 AWD
2.2 liter diesel 155 hp with MT and AT, AWD, 18 inch diamond cut alloys as option.
No pricing details have been revealed as on date. The current XUV500 is priced from INR 12.78 lakhs and a marginal increase in price is expected. Mahindra XUV500 facelift will compete against Renault Captur, Tata Hexa, Hyundai Creta and Jeep Compass on its official launch in the country.
