2018 Maruti Ciaz facelift’s all new features detailed – 32 Photos

There’s good news for Ciaz fans and prospective buyers as the all new, upgraded 2018 New Ciaz is now officially launched. Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, which has been a bestseller, gets a bit expensive as compared to the old model.

Already popular in its segment for performance and comfort, new Ciaz is available at NEXA showrooms across the country. Upgraded Ciaz carries more oomph with its sleeker design that is evident throughout its exteriors.

Headlight cluster gets new LED DRL, which also houses projector lamps. LEDs have been added to taillights as well. A large chrome panel with black encasing now surrounds the fog lamp cluster, which gives Ciaz a domineering look and feel. Alloys are now 16″ multi spoke, featuring a dual-tone design. More colour options have been added with two new shades of metallic grey and silver, standard metallic brown and a vibrant red.

Interiors have also received an upgrade with new Ciaz featuring a Birch wood finish and lounge-style, spacious seating. A state-of-the-art touchscreen infotainment system with TFT display features alongwith Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

New Ciaz is available in both petrol and diesel variants, in line with current trends in automotive industry. Petrol variant features a 1.5 litre engine with SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle System) that delivers 13 percent more power and 6 percent more torque over the outgoing Ciaz. It is rated at 104 PS and 138 Nm. Mileage is at 21.56 kmpl.

Diesel variant gets power from a 1.3 litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine with improved mild hybrid SHVS technology. It is rated at 90 PS and 200 Nm with 28 kmpl mileage. Petrol variant will be available in 5 speed manual transmission and 4 speed automatic transmission, whereas the diesel version will have 5 speed manual transmission.

Customers can choose from Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha trims in the price range of 8 to 11 lakh. Petrol smart hybrids will cost between Rs 8.19 lakh to Rs 9.97 lakh, whereas the petrol smart hybrid automatic will be available in the range of Rs 9.80 lakh to Rs 10.97 lakh.

Diesel smart hybrid variants are priced between 9.19 lakh to Rs 10.97 lakh. 2018 new Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will make it tougher for existing competitors in the sedan segment that includes Honda City, Toyota Yaris and Hyundai Verna.
