All new 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV will be making its global debut at the Indonesia Motor Show in a few days. Ahead of that, full details, and photos of the car have been leaked on the internet. Second generation Ertiga is expected to be launched in India by Diwali 2018.
To be offered in a choice of 7 colours of Gray, Brown, Silver, Black, White, Burgundy and Red, the new Ertiga gets a sporty new exterior. In the front you have new grille, new headlight setup, projector headlamps, new bumper, new alloys, sharper side and rear, new tail lights, etc.
Exterior highlights include projector taillamps, LED rear combination lamps, new 15 inch alloys, fog lamps, keyless smart entry, rear parking sensors, roof spoiler mounted LED stop lamp, power foldable ORVM with turn indicator.
New Ertiga is 4395 mm long, 1735 mm wide, 1690 mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 2740 mm and a ground clearance of 180 mm. Turning radius stands at 5.2 meter. Featuring a seating capacity for 7, the new Maruti Ertiga offers more space and features on the inside. Fuel tank is 45 liters, boot capacity with all three rows of seats upright is 153 liters, with 3rd row down is 550 liters and with both 2nd and 3rd row down is 803 liters.
Dashboard layout is same as that of the new Dzire and Swift, both of which have already been launched in India. Features on offer are touchscren infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, start / stop button, flat bottom steering wheel with polished wood finish, height adjustable driver seat, tilt steering wheel, 4 speakers, two airbags standard, ABS standard, Front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, etc.
From the leaked brochure, it is clear that the second gen Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will get an all new 1.5 liter petrol engine. This engine has been developed in house by Maruti Suzuki. Engine specs reveal that the 4 cylinder DOHC K158 unit is good for 104.7 PS at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. The engine is offered with either 5 MT or 4 AT.
