The next gen Ertiga is expected to measure 4,395mm in length, 1,735mm in width and 1,690mm in height. Its wheelbase remains the same at 2,740mm while ground clearance has now been reduced to 180mm.
In terms of exterior updates, the new Ertiga MPV will be seen with larger chrome grille, new projector headlamps, redesigned bumpers and new foglamps. It will also receive blacked C-shaped cladding, electrically operated ORVMs with integrated turn signals, chrome handles and alloy wheels. Changes to the rear will include LED tail lamps and high mounted LED stop lamps along with a new rear bumper.
Interiors of the next-gen Maruti Suzuki Ertiga also get revamped. It will sport better driver and passenger comfort features, along with added technology and safety. The top-spec Ertiga will be seen with automatic climate controls, reverse camera, rear parking sensors, keyless entry, auto start/stop knobs and an infotainment system offering Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It will also receive USB charging ports, ISOFIX child seat mounts and ABS, EBD and dual airbags which will be offered as standard.
Engine specifications on the new Ertiga will be a 1.5 liter petrol engine offering 103 bhp power and 138 Nm torque mated to a 5 speed manual or 4 speed automatic gearbox. The diesel version will use the same 1.3 liter engine seen on its current counterpart offering 88 bhp power and 200 Nm torque mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox. Both the petrol and diesel engines will sport SHVS mild hybrid technology which will go a long way in enhancing mileage.
Prices of the soon to be launched Maruti Suzuki Ertiga could start at around Rs 8 lakhs while in terms of competition it will take on the newly launched Mahindra Marazzo MPV and Honda BRV.
