Maruti Suzuki India Limited showcased the new 2018 Maruti Swift with iCreate platform at the ongoing Auto Expo. iCreate platform was only offered on Ignis and Vitara Brezza before this. The new Swift is the latest addition. The three set of differently customized Maruti Swift cars received a great deal of attention at the show by the visitors.
Maruti Suzuki Swift iCreate, in a brilliant shade of orange was seen with black graphics across the bonnet and roof, a contrasting white line on the lip of the bumper, matching ORVMs, door moldings and roof spoiler.
Apart from these features, the iCreate personalization program offers buyers a series of over 120 options in a host of combinations and can be accessed via an online configurator besides at company dealerships. In terms of safety features, the new Swift gets ABS offered as standard along with driver and passenger airbags. Interior space will be at a premium with wheelbase increased by 20mm and headroom up by 24mm. Boot space will also be larger at 58 liters as compared to that seen on its earlier counterpart.
No mechanical changes will be seen on the Maruti Suzuki Swift iCreate which will be powered by two engine options. It gets a 1.2 liter K-Series petrol engine and a 1.3 liter Fiat sources Multijet diesel engine. Both these engines get mated to 5 speed manual and AMT options. It is estimated that these engines will be tweaked for added fuel efficiency and increased acceleration.
Maruti Suzuki Swift iCreate will enter production at the company plant in Gujarat. No pricing details have been revealed as on date but prices could start from INR 4.99 lakhs and bookings to the tune of 40,000 numbers have already been received.
