Pininfarina designed 2018 Maserati Gran Turismo launched in India – Price Rs 2.25 cr

2018 Maserati Gran Turismo, designed by Pininfarina design house and unveiled at the Goodwood Festival last year has been officially launched in India. The luxurious and handcrafted Maserati Gran Turismo enters the Indian market where it will compete with the Porsche 911 Turbo, Jaguar F-type R, Aston Martin V8 Vantage S and Audi R8 V10 Plus. It is priced at Rs 2.25 crores and is seen in distinctive new styling while engines also get rejigged.

2018 Maserati Gran Turismo, offered in two versions – Sport and MC get redesigned exteriors with its most prominent change being a new shark-nose hexagonal grille inspired by the Alfieri concept.

It is also seen with new air ducts which enhance air flow distribution and reduce aerodynamic drag to 0.32. Changes to the rear include new profiling on the rear bumper which also sports carbon fiber lip spoiler and dual exhaust pipes.

Interiors also get new comfort and luxury features with individual Poltrona Frau leather seats with integrated headrests, high resolution 8.4” capacitive touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Refined ergonomics are seen throughout the spacious cabin while the dashboard sports a new Maserati double dial clock and a Harmon Kardon premium sound system. The lower console also gets redesigned with a double rotary dial made of forged aluminum and new buttons for select driving modes.

Maserati Gran Turismo is offered in Sport and MC variants. MC stands for Maserati Corse which replaces the MC Stradale in the new portfolio. Both variants are powered by a Ferrari sourced 4.7 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine offering 460 hp peak power at 7,000 rpm and 520 Nm peak torque at 4,750 rpm mated to a 6 speed automatic gearbox. This engine is hand crafted by Ferrari in Maranello.
