First showcased at 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, the restyled Quattroporte GTS, globally launched in September, is now officially launched in India. It is presented in a choice of two unique trim options – GranLusso and GranSport. The first 2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS owner in India is a business tycoon from Delhi.
The Italian luxury carmaker has designed the new 2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS to cater to the demands of customers that desire an elevated level of features and function. Exteriors of the GranLusso trim are noted with full LED headlights offering glare free high beam, a front spoiler, chrome bumper inserts and body colored side skirts.
It also receives 20” Mercurio light alloy wheels with brake calipers in black. The GranSport trim gets a more dynamic appeal with sculpted angles for central front and side intakes, aerodynamic splitters, center spoiler and side inserts finished in Black Piano. It also gets an additional Exterior Carbon Package with carbon finish on door mirrors, handles and B Pillars.
Interiors are seen with an 8.4” Maserati Touch Control Plus unit with three way multi touch screen, rotary control in central console and activated through voice commands. There is also Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and a powerful 900 watt, 10 speaker Harmon Kardon Premium Sound System which is offered as standard. Those buyers desiring a higher level of acoustics, a new Bowers & Wilkins Surround System with 15 speakers and 1280 watt amplifier is also an option. Safety features include 6 airbags and active headrests, Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and much more.
2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS is powered by a 3.8 litre twin turbo V8 engine offering 530 hp power at 6,500-6,800 rpm and 710 Nm torque at 2,250-3,500 rpm mated to an 8 speed ZF automatic transmission. This engine allows acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 310 kmph. Price starts from Rs 2.7 crore, ex-Delhi.
